How Your Cells Use Light to Communicate

HOW YOUR CELLS USE LIGHT TO COMMUNICATE April 12, 2018 295014 Like Christina Sarich, Guest Waking Times “Your body is woven from the light of Heaven.” ~Rumi Have you ever wondered what makes the difference between a living and non-living process? What makes us “alive” instead of just machines or robots acting out commands? What is the life force, or what ancient philosophers called the “animus”? It is light, and this is the fundamental method by which your cells and DNA communicate. After all, a cell contains the same components when it is alive and when it is dead. The same molecules and structures are there, but what gives the cell life? What allows an average human being to become the accumulation of 10 trillion cells communicating in a precise way every second to every molecule in our bodies? What’s more, every few seconds more than 10 million cells die, and in order to prevent entropic decay, more cells must be created to sustain our life force. Make no mistake. This is a massive undertaking. A mere machine could never pull it off. This is also why so many drugs fail to heal the body, because they do not work at the level of light – the speed of light, more specifically. Chemical messaging to orchestrate this incredible show would be far too slow. Russian scientist, Alexander Gurwitsch, a contemporary of Vladimir Vernadsky and Fritz Alfred Popp have all pointed to the need for cells to be able to communicate at the speed of light for our bodies to even function. “We are still on the threshold of fully understanding the complex relationship between light and life, but we can now say emphatically, that the function of our entire metabolism is dependent on light.” ~Dr. Fritz Albert Popp It was Alexander Gurwitsch who, while working on onion roots in his lab 1923, discovered that the roots could stimulate a neighboring plant’s roots if the two adjacent plants were in quartz glass pots. The same effect did not happen if the plants were contained in silicon. It turned out that the quartz filtered certain UV wavelengths that the silicon did not, thus allowing communication between biological entities. Popp later experimented with UV light to further understand what Gurwitsch had discovered. Performing 37 different tests on chemicals – some that caused cancer and some that did not. In every instance, the compounds that he found to be carcinogenic took the UV light, absorbed it and changed or scrambled the frequency. This is what happens to our DNA when we eat poor quality food, are repeatedly subjected to negative emotions, listen to DNA-harming music, television, etc. or even endure an onslaught of chemical toxicity in our air, water, and soil due to corporate polluting. These elements scramble or confuse the light signals being communicated by our cells. What Popp also found was that these cancer-causing compounds all had one thing in common. Each of the carcinogens reacted only to light at a specific frequency — 380 nm (nanometres) in the ultra-violet range. Popp was curious as to why light could act as a scrambler of information, until he discovered that it could also repair cells. Specifically, Popp discovered that Ultraweak Photon Emission (UPE) or Biophoton Emission (BPE) refers to the phenomenon of constant and spontaneous emission of light from all biological systems including humans due to metabolic activities, without excitation or enhancement. This occurs in the visible and UV part of the electromagnetic spectrum at very low intensities, on the order of 10-16 – 10-18 W/cm2. The coherent emission of bio-photons is connected to energy and information transfer processes in any biological organism, and has been linked to the function of DNA and gene regulation. Reprogramming your DNA is about allowing coherent electromagnetic communication to happen within your own biology and the living, breathing Intelligence of the Universe. By choking your cells with pharmaceutical drugs, depression medication, or even highly processed, genetically modified food, you are inhibiting speed-of-light communication between the perfect fractal universe and your body. The repair of DNA and therefore, your cells, is all about allowing coherent light to regulate biorhythms, homeostasis, and every single metabolic process in your body. Those 10 trillion cells know what they are doing. Your DNA already understands perfectly how to communicate correctly, all that is needed is to take that which impedes this communication out of the picture. Get the picture? This type of "sugar" is a healing superfood Inbox x Herbs & Health dailydroplet@herbs-info.com via aweber.com 7:06 PM (23 hours ago) to me Hi everyone, Hippocrates (the father of medicine) used this "liquid gold" as a treatment for pain, dehydration, and fever. And this isn't just some "folk remedy" discredited by modern science either. Researchers (in thousands of peer-reviewed papers) continue to uncover just how healing it can be. In fact, Dr. Joshua Levitt actually prescribes this "healing superfood" to his patients in his clinic in Connecticut... Most sweeteners are extremely dangerous, but your body burns THIS sugar differently than other sweeteners... Today's new article explains: > Discover 5 scientifically-backed reasons to use this "liquid gold" every day To your health, Alex, Herbs & Health.

Honey, in particular, has three critical healing effects... First, honey supports your immune system and fights off harmful bacteria. As you know, your body is under constant assault by numerous viruses and bacteria that threaten to tire you out, make you sick, and even kill you. Fighting off this threat is key to staying healthy. One of the vital components in honey is an enzyme called glucose oxidase. This enzyme, when exposed to oxygen, produces hydrogen peroxide -- a strong acid that dissolves the cell walls of bacteria. (Most human cells have thicker cell walls and can resist the low amounts of acid honey produces.) This makes honey a powerful tool for fighting skin infections, healing wounds, and otherwise supporting your immune system. (And its why honey is able to last for so long in your cupboard without going bad.) Second, it supplies the "building blocks" for healthy cells. In addition to giving you sugars, honey equips your body with a complex array of proteins, enzymes, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and other nutrients. The second these nutrients hit your body, they go to work... Tuning up your heart, lungs, stomach, brain, eyes, and skin... Controlling cancer-causing free-radicals and stopping cell damage in its tracks... Detoxifying your body of harmful pollutants and other toxins.

Toxins Stored In Your Fat Cells Are Making You Fat And Swollen. Here’s How To Cleanse Them

HOMEHEALTHToxins Stored In Your Fat Cells Are Making You Fat And Swollen. Here’s How To Cleanse Them HEALTHToxins Stored In Your Fat Cells Are Making You Fat And Swollen. Here’s How To Cleanse Them The environment we live in nowadays is filled with toxins and chemicals which are slowly destroying our body. The unhealthy diet most of us eat only makes matters worse. Toxicity nowadays is almost impossible to avoid and our liver and colon can easily get blocked. The body has a system which cleans the toxins naturally, but with so much work due to the constant attack by toxins, they don’t always function like they’re supposed to. There are 2 types of toxins – fat and water soluble. The water-soluble toxins are eliminated through sweat and urine, but things are not so simple with fat-soluble toxins. In order to eliminate them, these toxins need to be turned to water-soluble compounds which is the liver’s job. Fat-soluble toxins include pesticides, food additives, preservatives, pollutants, heavy metals and plastics. As we said, the liver’s role is to make these toxins into lighter compounds which can then be eliminated. Unfortunately, due to the hard work this vital organ performs every day, it isn’t always able to turn the fat-soluble to water-soluble toxins, which means they can start accumulating in our body. When the liver and digestive tract are blocked, none of them can’t perform their function. The so-called toxic fats need to pass through the digestive system into the small intestine, where small threads called villi sweep them. This process is supported by the body’s Gut Associated Lymphatic System or GALT which surrounds the GI tract and is vital for the elimination of toxins. If the GALT and villi are functioning well, the toxins and chemicals will get eliminated. However, the villi can easily dry out and the GALT system is often blocked due to our diet and the air pollution, resulting in tons of toxins accumulated in our tissues. Bloating, swelling in the breasts, hands and feet, irregular bowel movements, skin irritation, joint stiffness and hypersensitivity are the main symptoms of a congested GALT. Add the dry villi to this problem and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. When the GI tract produces enough mucus, our stool is normal and all the toxins and chemicals can be eliminated. If the mucus is excessive, we will experience diarrhea. If you notice too much mucus in your stool, you should address the problem immediately as it can cause big problems. The villi are crucial for the elimination process. They shouldn’t be too wet or too dry in order to function, but factors such as stress, unhealthy diet, coffee, additives and hyperacidity can harm their function. Proper bile production is also important for proper elimination. The bile is produced by the liver and has the role of processing fats, acting as the immune system of the GI tract. When there’s plenty of fiber in the body, things will be just fine. However, lack of fiber in your diet can cause bile problems and dry the villi, resulting in a congested GALT and a slew of health problems. Liver Congestion When the liver is congested due to a high level of toxins, it will allow fat-soluble toxins into the bloodstream. They will eventually find their way to our fat cells, accumulating in there and causing serious damage. These toxins can even reach the brain and are a potentially life-threatening problem. Eliminate Your Fat To Remove Toxins From Your Body The ancient Ayurveda medicine relied on improving the body’s metabolism in order to melt fat and flush out toxins from the body. There are many ways to burn fat (diet, exercise) and making major lifestyle changes is a big part of the process. It’s also important to learn how good your digestive system is functioning, as a congested liver and GI tract won’t allow you to burn the fat from your body. If you’re noticing too much mucus in your stool or you’re suffering from diarrhea or constipation, it’s a sign that your detox pathways are blocked. In order to unclog them and resolve the problems, you need to follow certain rules. There is a way of decongesting your body naturally – you should eat a healthy diet rich in fiber and anti-inflammatory foods and try the recipe you can see below. Liver Cleansing Recipe Ingredients 1 grapefruit ½ cup olive oil Apple juice 4 tablespoons Epsom salt Directions Add the Epsom salt in 3 cups of water and put the mixture in a jar in the fridge. Start the process by avoiding any food or drinks at 2 PM. Four hours later (6 PM), drink ¾ of the mixture. If the taste is too much for you, add a bit of vitamin C in it. Two hours later at 8 PM, drink the same amount of the mixture. Don’t do anything after this step as the liver flush will start soon. At 9:45 PM, pour olive oil in ½ a cup, squeeze the grapefruit in and put the mixture in a jar. Close it and shake it well, then drink the mixture at 10 PM. Make sure to finish it in a maximum of 5 minutes. Once you get up, drink ¾ of the salty mixture and go to sleep for another few hours. Drink the last dosage of the Epsom salt mixture 2 hours later, then eat some food 2 hours after that. This powerful cleansing recipe will remove all the toxins and fat from your liver and keep your organs functioning as they should. In this way, it will detoxify your body and get your metabolism working again, helping you lose weight. Article and image source: https://healthmeaning.com

These ‘Plastic’ Bags Are Actually Made of Potato & Tapioca – and Can Become Animal Food on Disposal! by Tanaya Singh December 5, 2016, 4:06 pm Picture this – a cow gulps down a carry bag discarded in a field. The bag is white and looks like plastic. But don’t worry about it killing the cow. It actually does – nothing! Find out why. The partial or total ban on plastic bags in several Indian cities is often lauded as a welcome move by most people. As it should be! But if you ask those who cannot afford alternatives like cloth bags (or forget to bring them to the market) – using just hands to carry eggs and vegetables home can be a juggling act. It was this problem faced by ordinary citizens that disturbed Ashwath Hegde, a Mangalore-born but now Qatar-based NRI entrepreneur. “The Mangalore City Corporation implemented a ban on the manufacture, sale, and distribution of plastic bags in the year 2012. But the decision was taken without preparations for alternatives. People were concerned about how they would carry products from the market now. Everyone cannot afford a bag worth Rs. 5 or Rs. 15 to carry a kilogram of sugar. I decided to come up with alternatives after hearing about these problems in my hometown,” says the 25-year-old. After researching the problem for about four years, Ashwath founded EnviGreen – a company that produces 100% organic, biodegradable, and eco-friendly bags. envigreen1 They look like plastic bags but are made of materials like natural starch and vegetable oil derivatives. If placed in a glass of water at normal temperature, an EnviGreen bag dissolves in a day. And when placed in a glass of boiling water, it dissolved in just 15 seconds! These bags take less than 180 days to biodegrade naturally once discarded. So users can throw them away without worrying about harming the environment. The bags are even edible and will cause no harm to animals if ingested. You may also like: Eat with It and Then Eat It – Meet the Man Who Introduced Edible Cutlery to the World Ashwath, who has patented EnviGreen, claims the manufacturing process for these bags is entirely different from that of plastic, cloth, or paper bags. The company uses 12 ingredients, including potato, tapioca, corn, natural starch, vegetable oil, banana, and flower oil. All raw materials are first converted into liquid form and then taken through a six-step procedure before the end product is ready. envigreen2 “We don’t use any chemicals at all. Even the paint used for printing on the bags is natural and organic,” says Ashwath. He adds that the cost of one EnviGreen bag is about 35% more than that of a plastic bag, but 500% less than that of a cloth bag. “To give you a rough idea, an EnviGreen bag measuring 13 inches by 16 inches costs Rs. 3, while a plastic bag with the same dimensions will cost Rs. 2”. The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), which has approved the use of these bags, conducted several tests to ensure there were no plastic elements in them. The tests included placing a hot iron on a small piece of EnviGreen sheet. The sheet neither melts nor sticks to the hot iron surface. The bags also don’t melt, drip, or release any toxic fumes when burnt, unlike conventional plastic bags. They have been tested by the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Sriram Institute for Industrial Research as well. You may also like: Anyone Can Check Their Eyes at Home With This Origami-Style DIY Eye Test Costing Under a Dollar To prove his point, Ashwath has even consumed a bag after boiling it in water to show that it is edible. envigreen3 With his team of 60 people, Ashwath has now set up a factory in Bangalore that produces 1,000 metric tonnes of bags every month. “We had this unique idea of empowering farmers in rural Karnataka by sourcing all our raw materials from them. We are also planning to distribute seeds to help them produce the amount of materials required to make the bags,” he says. Currently, the company has not started sales in India, but the bags are already available in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. “Just the city of Bangalore consumes over 30,000 metric tonnes of plastic bags every month. So we want to set up enough manufacturing facilities before we start distributing to individual customers and local kirana shop owners. We have started supplying to corporate retail chains like Metro and Reliance, which will start using the bags from December this year,” says Ashwath. According to the Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, 15,000 tonnes of plastic waste is generated in India every day, out of which 9,000 tonnes is collected and processed, while 6,000 tonnes is not collected. envigreen4 Once available for use, EnviGreen bags will not just help ease this problem but also help many consumers struggling to find a balance between their concern for the environment and ways of making things more comfortable in their daily lives. A Full Step By Step According to Deborah Flanagan, a popular reflexologist, people can get rid of the pain by simply massaging certain spots on their hands. Furthermore, this method might even prove useful for dealing with constipation, back pains, sinus blockage, fatigue, and diminished libido. Here is how you can try this method to treat some parts of the body that cause pain. Step 1 Use some moisturizer or cream of your choosing and apply it on the hands. Massage your hands with the cream until it has been completely absorbed. Next, relax the hands so that they will be more flexible. Note: Don’t use a slippery or greasy cream. It will make it difficult to massage specific points on the hand. Step 2 Choose an area best suited for the type of pain according to the picture. Focus specifically on that area and massage it for a couple of minutes. Start by massaging the spot for six seconds, followed by a three-second pause, and continue massaging the spot for a few minutes. Step 3 Follow the guidelines shown in the picture to locate the pain to treat it properly. Step 4 Keep pressing the reflex point firmly and slowly increase the pressure after some time. This will activate the reflex and soothe some of the pain. Step 5 Hold some pressure on the spot for about 30 seconds and release. Step 6 Take a break after every pressure and keep repeating the process as much or as little as you may like. Step 7 With the thumb apply light pressure with a circular motion on the spot for five seconds. Next, rotate in a circular motion in the opposite direction again for five seconds. Step 8 Relax for half an hour and drink some water to get rid of the toxins from the body.

13 Alternatives to Viagra That Won't Fall Flat 11.8K 227 484 19.6K 324 74 Google + Posted on: Saturday, July 19th 2014 at 7:15 pm Written By: Sayer Ji, Founder This article is copyrighted by GreenMedInfo LLC, 2014 Visit our Re-post guidelines 13 Alternatives to Viagra That Won't Fall Flat Viagra is a multi-billion dollar blockbuster drug, but it has serious side effects. Thankfully evidence-based natural alternatives abound... Erectile dysfunction is no trivial matter. In fact, Dr. Mercola correctly labeled it 'the canary in the trousers,' insofar as dysfunction 'where it counts' reflects body-wide endothelial dysfunction, a well known precursor to cardiovascular disease. But putting aside its importance for overall health, the male ego depends in large part on the ability to 'get it up,' and when things don't work out as planned, quite a lot can go wrong as far as intimacy is concerned. It has been said that when sexual issues emerge in a relationship, they take on 90% importance, but when they aren't an issue, they only figure 10% in the overall success of the relationship. Men, especially in the 35-45 range, also are faced with what is known as andropause, as the levels of key 'erotic' hormones such as testosterone and human growth human start to take a precipitous decline. The pharmaceutical industry has capitalized heavily on this 'change of life' phase, with Viagra taking on a 'pole position' for several decades. But these pharmaceuticals have severe, if not sometimes deadly side effects. All the more reason why natural alternatives are in great need today. So, what does the 'hard evidence' itself have to say on the topic of natural alternatives. Take a moment to look at what we have found: L-arginine: #1 on the list is the amino acid l-arginine. A precursor to nitric oxide, this conditionally non-essential amino acid is especially important in times of trauma or stress. What makes is 'conditionally essential' is that while the body can normally produce adequate quantities, during times of stress (including burn trauma), the body is unable to produce sufficient quantities, at which time supplementation is of key importance. Also, when the arteries undergo what is called 'endothelial dysfunction,' and are incapable of dilating sufficiently, adding additional l-arginine can correct the condition by inducing nitric oxide up-regulation, subsequently increasing blood flow, which can lead to resolution of cardiovascular dysfunction, including erectile dysfunction. We have indexed no less than six clinical studies on l-arginine, either alone or in combination with another nutraceutical, indicating it can contribute to a reversal of erectile dysfunction. You can view the studies here. Pycnogenol: This amazing substance has a wide range of health benefits. In fact, we have indexed over 80 evidence-based health applications here. When it comes to erectile dysfunction, pycnogenol figures as a profound synergist, working to amplify the benefits of l-arginine to the point where two separate clinical studies found the combination highly effective and safe in resolving erectile dysfunction.[1][2] Panax Ginseng: This amazing Asian herb has been used for thousands of years to increase stamina and longevity. There is now a sizable body of scientific evidence supporting its traditional folkoric use, with a 2008 meta-analysis of the extant research on the topic, which looked at 7 randomized clinical trials to ascertain its value in erectile dysfunction, concluding: "Collectively these RCTs provide suggestive evidence for the effectiveness of red ginseng in the treatment of erectile dysfunction."[3] Maca: this South American tuber, both a food and medicine, and long identified as a means to increasing fertility and libido in both men and woman, was found in a 2009 clinical trial to have a significant effect "...on subjective perception of general and sexual well-being in adult patients with mild ED."[4] Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia): Like most traditional herbs, Tongkat Ali has had a variety of traditional uses, including as an "antimalarial, aphrodisiac, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, and antipyretic [fever-reducer]."[5] As far as its libido enhancing properties, two preclinical trials have found it effective in the animal model at improving sexual performance, confirming its aphrodisiacal properites.[6],[7] Saffron: this sacred spice, highly prized as both a culinary ingredient and medicine, has been studied to have significant effects in reversing erectile dysfunction at doses of 200 mg a day. A 2009 study found: "Saffron showed a positive effect on sexual function with increased number and duration of erectile events seen in patients with ED even only after taking it for ten days."[8] Yohimbe: This potent herb has been found effective when combined with l-arginine to improve erectile dysfunction. A 2002 study concluded: "oral administration of the L-arginine glutamate 6g and 6 mg yohimbine combination is effective in improving erectile function in patients with mild to moderate ED."[9] [Warning: Yohimbe and its active ingredient yohimbine is a potent nutraceutical with possible severe side effects such as hypertension. It is advisable to use it only under the guidance of a physician or medical herbalist to avoid possible side effects, especially if already using prescription drugs.] Tribulis: This potent herb has libido enhancing properties for both men and women. We recently featured a study showing it helps women to increase their libido. The preclinical research on male libido is promising, with no less than three studies indicating its benefits for erectile dysfunction.[10],[11],[12] Green Tea: A highly provocative animal study from 2008 indicates that green tea may address both the origin of erectile dysfunction by diminishing atherosclerotic progression in the corpus cavernosum of the male rat penis, subsequently indicating improvement in both erectile dysfunction and cardiovascular health.[13] This is, in fact, not the first study to show that green tea can correct endothelial dysfunction.[14] Exercise: One of the best ways to improve your body image, self-esteem, and sexual vitality is through exercise. A 2009 study found that physical inactivity contributes to erectile dysfunction – essentially a no-brainer.[15] A Sense of Humor: Living life with a negative attitude, especially when afflicted with a health condition, doesn't reflect well as far as sexuality is concerned. A remarkable 2008 study found that viewing humorous films in patients with atopic dermatitis leads to short-term improvement of erectile dysfunction.[16] While we don't know for sure if this study extends to everyone with the condition, it is instructive, perhaps, to look at a degree of levity and light-heartedness as an essential precondition to alleviating some degree of sexual dysfunction. Sex should be fun, right? So lighten up by increasing you humor and joy, whenever possible. AVOID STATIN DRUGS: One of the primary precepts of functional medicine is to avoid the cause of disease, rather than just suppress the symptoms. Statin drugs are well-known to adversely affect the male gonads, as well as reducing both testosterone and libido, leading to the well known consequence of statin-induced erectile dysfunction. Take a look at these 7 clinical studies if you need convincing that this side effect is read. Were statins effective at preventing heart disease, it would be difficult to reject them. But the fact that they are cardiotoxic makes it all the more questionable to continue on them, especially considering the severe quality of life issues they generate, including erectile dysfunction. Please share with your physician our research page on the 300+ adverse effects of statins to come up with a more reasonable approach to cardiovascular disease prevention. AVOID Anti-Depressants: Perhaps surprisingly, antidepressant drugs have been found to be a major cause of sexual dysfunction. A 2006 study found that selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), e.g. Prozac, Paxil, are associated with sexual dysfunction in 95.6% of women and 97.9% men.[17] What a misnomer! What could be more depressing than killing your sexual desire with a pharmaceutical Band-Aid? Ultimately, sexual dysfunction begins in the brain. Nothing can eliminate a dysfunctional relationship or a lack of intimacy that often follows from it. While natural interventions exist – Ginseng, Arginine, Tribulus, etc. – it should be remembered that that erectile dysfunction stems from more than just physiological issues. A lack of desire may reflect a lack of appreciation for one's own self, body image, or sense of sensuality. Nonetheless, it is good to know that alternatives to pharmaceuticals like Viagra exist, and are evidence-based, safer and time-tested. Moreover, it is important to acknowledge that the 'canary in the trousers' often reflects cardiovascular dysfunction body-wide, and the best way to address that is through a radical transformation of the diet, focusing on a grain and dairy-free ancestral diet rich in high nutrient, low carbohydrate vegetables, tubers and fruits and berries, as well as high quality natural fats and protein sources that are consistent with our biological heritage. How WHOLE Turmeric Heals The Damaged Brain

How WHOLE Turmeric Heals The Damaged Brain 105K 471 1016 124K 12K 60 Google + Posted on: Wednesday, October 1st 2014 at 12:45 pm Written By: Sayer Ji, Founder This article is copyrighted by GreenMedInfo LLC, 2014 Visit our Re-post guidelines How Whole Turmeric Heals The Damaged Brain Long considered impossible to accomplish, new research reveals how a simple spice might contribute to the regeneration of the damaged brain. Turmeric is hands down one of the, if not the, most versatile healing spice in the world with over 600 experimentally confirmed health benefits, and an ancient history filled with deep reverence for its seemingly compassionate power to alleviate human suffering. But, most of the focus over the past decade has been centered on only one of its many hundreds of phytocompounds: namely, the primary polyphenol in turmeric known as curcumin which gives the spice its richly golden hue. This curcumin-centric focus has lead to the development of some very good products, such as phospholipid bound curcumin concentrate (e.g. Meriva, BCM-95) which greatly helps to increase the absorption and bio-activity of curcumin. But, curcumin isolates are only capable of conferring a part of turmeric's therapeutic power – and therein lies the limitation and hubris of the dominant 'isolate the active ingredient' model. Indeed, it has become typical within the so-called nutraceutical industry to emulate the pharmaceutical model, which focuses on identifying a particular "monochemical" tree within the forest of complexity represented by each botanical agent, striving to standardize the delivery of each purported 'active ingredient' with each serving, as if it were a pharmaceutical drug. These extraction and isolation processes also generates proprietary formulas which are what manufacturers want to differentiate their product from all others and henceforth capture a larger part of the market share; a value proposition that serves the manufacturer and not the consumer/patient. Truth be told, there is no singular 'magic bullet' in foods and herbs responsible for reproducing the whole plant's healing power. There are, in fact, in most healing plants or foods hundreds of compounds orchestrated by the intelligent 'invisible hand' of God or 'Nature,' or whatever you wish to call it, and which can never be reduced to the activity of a singularly quantifiable phytocompound or chemical. Beyond The Curcumin 'Magic Bullet' Meme Now, an exciting new study published in the journal Stem Cell Research & Therapy provides additional support for the concept that curcumin alone is not enough to explain the healing power of turmeric as a whole plant. The study found that a little known, fat-soluble component within turmeric – Ar-tumerone – may make "a promising candidate to support regeneration in neurologic disease." Titled, "Aromatic-turmerone induces neural stem cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo," German researchers evaluated the effects of this turmeric-derived compound on neural stem cells (NSCs) – the subgroup of brain cells capable of continuous self-renewal required for brain repair. The study found that when brain cells were exposed to ar-tumerone, neural stem cells increased in number through enhanced proliferation. Moreover, these newly formed neural stem cells also increased the number of fully differentiated neuronal cells, indicating a healing effect was taking place. This effect was also observed in a live animal model, showing that rats injected with ar-tumerone into their brains experienced increases in neural stem cell proliferation and the creation of newly formed healthy brain cells. This study did not go unnoticed by major medical news channels. Here are some good reviews if you wish to explore the implications in greater depth: Newsweek: Curry Power: Turmeric Compound Boosts Growth of Brain's Stem Cells Guardian Liberty Voice: Turmeric Cure Evidence Grows Monthly Prescribing Reference: Turmeric May Help Regenerate Brain Cells Times of Malta: Turmeric Link to Brain Cell Repair Medical Daily: Turmeric Helps Your Brain Heal Itself: Spice Up Your Brain The GreenMedInfo.com Turmeric Database Confirms It's Brain-Saving Power! As you may already know, our database is the world's most extensive open access natural medical database on over 1,800 different natural substances, with over 1600 study abstracts on turmeric's healing properties indexed thus far: view the Turmeric research page here to view! If you take a look at the laundry list of over 600 diseases that this spice (or its components, e.g. curcumin) has been studied for to prevent and/or treat, the sheer volume of supportive literature is astounding. Amazingly, we have identified over 180 physiological pathways – according to their conventional pharmacological characterization, e.g. COX-2 inhibitor, Interleukin 6 down-regulator – by which turmeric or its components heals the human body. In addition, you will find over 100 articles on turmeric's neuroprotective properties on this page: Turmeric as a Neuroprotective agent. The research clearly indicates that turmeric is a great brain supportive plant. For a more layperson oriented review, read the following articles: How Turmeric Can Save the Aging Brain From Dementia Turmeric Produces 'Remarkable' Recovery in Alzheimer's Patients The Spice That Prevents Fluoride From Destroying Your Brain How To Get The Most Out of Your Turmeric One of the most frequent questions we field is 'what is the best type of turmeric or curcumin to use'? Obviously, given the aforementioned research, the whole plant is going to carry a wider range of therapeutic compounds than curcumin alone. And yet, most have been heavily enculturated to focus entirely on the 'how much' question, opting to identify the molecular weight (i.e. how many milligrams in a serving) of a particular compound as more important than the qualitative dimensions (e.g. is it organic? It is delivered within its natural context as food or a whole plant?) which reflect the type of nutrigenomic information the substance contains, and therefore the 'intelligence' it embodies. To learn more about the intelligence of food watch my e-course 'The Wisdom of Food.' And really, there is no generic answer to a generic question about the best way to take turmeric/curcumin. The question always comes from an individual with a particular need, and so, recommendations must be bio-individualized. For instance, if you have colonic inflammation or polyps, and you are trying to use turmeric to reduce inflammation there or regress precancerous growths, then using the whole plant is best versus a highly bioavailable form of curcumin in capsule form (e.g. Meriva), for instance, which will likely be absorbed by the small intestine and mostly pass through the liver never getting adequate quantities to the large intestine. So, in this person's case taking a teaspoon of relatively difficult to absorb turmeric may result in painting the diseased surfaces of that person's intestinal or colonic lumen with exactly the form needed to reverse disease. But what if you have someone who wants to experience a systemic effect, say, for arthritis or for brain cancer? In these instances, getting turmeric compounds such as curcumin through the glucuronidation barrier in the liver with a phospholipid-bound or black pepper (piperine) combination could be ideal. There is certainly a place for the 'nutraceutical' model when properly applied, especially when provided as an adjuvant to the pharmaceutical model within an integrative medical setting. Ultimately, the goal is not to wait to have such a serious health problem that you have to force yourself to take a 'heroic dose' of any herb or food extract. Better is to use small amounts in culinary doses in combination with ingredients that synergize on a physiochemical/informational and sensual basis (producing the all important vitamin P [pleasure] as well!). Recently we actually featured a study that showed culinary doses of rosemary helped improve memory whereas higher 'heroic' doses impaired it! This is why exploring the use of turmeric in curries, or by adding a pinch in a smoothie, may be an ideal daily supplementation approach, versus capsules, whose questionably 'natural' capsules and excipients all can add up to cause some stress on the liver you are trying to protect with these natural interventions. Just remember quality is everything and less is more! There is a difference but what constitutes a life and what constitutes a lifestyle is pretty ambiguous. One thing that seems pretty clear to me is the lifestyle is observable while a life can have many internal aspects to it. A lifestyle can include people, material things, environments, how we spend our time, energy, and money. A life includes things like our beliefs, our values, our commitments, our soul's dream, and our vision. If you choose a lifestyle first you could wind up with an empty fortress. If you choose the life first, you will design your lifestyle to support the life.

DARE TO CREATE THE GOOD LIFE YOU WANT! at: 4pchallenges.com Since most of us already have a lifestyle, and a default life, we usually have to do some redesign work. Choose a life and then redesign our lifestyle. It is possible that the lifestyle you currently have will never support the life you truly want to live. It is possible the lifestyle you currently have has many supporting structures and only minor renovations need to occur. It is possible that you are a highly intuitive person and your lifestyle is in perfect alignment. I know very few people who fall into that category. My dad does but what I notice about him, is he and my mother made a conscious decision to structure their lives around their spiritual values. They made that decision early in their marriage and lived true to it. Now it's interesting that my parents are actually old enough to be my grandparents, (my mother is no long living) and I noticed that many earlier generations were not given to having transformational conversations so learning was a very different process then than it is now. The fact that we have e-courses and teleclasses and magazines and tons of books that are created to help people learn to live more meaningful and personally fulfilling lives represents a shift from how things use to be. As we evolve we begin to look at various aspects of our lives for congruence to our values and commitments. The disparity shows up with exclamation marks behind them and sometimes our response is discouragement and self-disappointment. We act as if we should have known better when the truth is how could we have known better? So the first thing to get over is "I didn't know" and then after we get over that we come to "but I know now...now what?" It takes a courageous person to see this and then set their intentions on bringing integrity into their life so that their lifestyle gives them a life that serves their higher self. You will notice some people trying to work around it, pretending it doesn't matter that their lifestyles don't measure up to their core values. The real problem is once you see the inconsistency, not doing anything actually makes things worse and you lose ground really fast. It cost you big time to keep that inconsistency in place. You can't be with yourself and be at peace in your life. It wears you down like water will wear down a mountain over time. Your life will devolve instead of evolve. If that is not a price that's too high to pay, I don't know what is. Just think about it and choose wisely the path you will follow.

Ology List of Sciences Thursday, February 8, 2018 (ATP) Adenosine Triphosphate. Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is considered by biologists to be the energy currency of life. It is the high-energy molecule that stores the energy we need to do just about everything we do. ATP - HyperPhysics Concepts hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/Biology/atp.html Energy is usually liberated from the ATP molecule to do work in the cell by a reaction that removes one of the phosphate-oxygen groups, leaving adenosine diphosphate (ADP). When the ATP converts to ADP, the ATP is said to be spent. ATP: The Perfect Energy Currency for the Cell - True Origin https://www.trueorigin.org/atp.php Search for: How does ATP give off energy? How ATP is used in the body? How ATP is produced? How ATP is produced? Glycolysis - begins glucose metabolism in all cells to produce 2 molecules of pyruvate. Occurs outside of mitochondria, usually in cytoplasm. Cellular Respiration - uses oxygen from the environment and converts each pyruvate to three molecules of carbon dioxide while trapping the energy released in this process in ATP.

How is ATP produced in cells; what is the difference between the energy-producing process in animal cells and plant cells? How much ATP is produced? Question Date: 2010-01-27 Answer 1: You have asked a classic question in biology, and of course, a very important one. How living things produce usable energy is important not only from the perspective of understanding life, but it could also help us to design more efficient energy harvesting and producing products - if we could "mimic" how living cells deal with their energy balance, we might be able to vastly improve our technology. For example, a plant is a much better harvester of sunlight than even our best solar panel. And of course, if we understand energy use, it can also help us deal with human diseases such as diabetes. Now, the answer to your question can be found in any basic biology text book, but sometimes, there is so much information packed into such a text book that it can be difficult to extract the information you need or more often, to view all of that information in a larger context. Let's try to tackle your question in several parts. First, we need to know what ATP really is - chemically, it is known as adenosine triphosphate. ATP is a usable form of energy for cells - the energy is "trapped" in a chemical bond that can be released and used to drive other reactions that require energy (endergonic reactions). Photosynthetic organisms use energy from sunlight to synthesize their own fuels. They can convert harvested sunlight into chemical energy (including ATP) to then drive the synthesis of carbohydrates from carbon dioxide and water. When they synthesize the carbohydrates, oxygen gets released. Globally, more than 10 billion tons of carbon is "fixed" by plants every year - this means that carbon molecules are converted from being part of a simple gas (carbon dioxide) into more complex, reduced molecules (carbohydrates), making carbon available as food for non-photosynthesizers (and of course, providing oxygen). They use some of the carbohydrate for their own growth and reproduction. It is pretty remarkable when you think about it - have you been to Sequoia National Park or seen the redwoods along our northwest coast? Massive trees, right? Think about the fact that most of that mass is in the form of carbon that was pulled out of the air as carbon dioxide! The process of photosynthesis is two-part. First, there are the light reactions, where light is converted into chemical energy (a reduced electron carrier and ATP). This occurs in the thylakoids (stacked membranes) of the chloroplasts. The ATP and electron carriers are then used in a second set of reactions, called the light-independent reactions. This also occurs in the chloroplasts, but in an area called the stroma. In this case, carbon dioxide gets used to produce sugars in a series of reactions called the Calvin Cycle, C4 photosynthesis, and crassulacean acid metabolism. You can look in any basic bio textbook to see how much "energy" or "sugar" is produced in each step of the process. In non-photosynthesizers, the fuel has to be consumed. The most common chemical fuel is the sugar glucose (C6H12O6)... Other molecules, such as fats or proteins, can also supply energy, but (usually) they have to first be converted to glucose or some intermediate that can be used in glucose metabolism. Now this brings us to the next part - how do we go from glucose to ATP? This is achieved through the process of "oxidation" - and this is carried out through a series of metabolic pathways. Complex chemical transformations in the cell occur in a series of separate reactions to form each pathway, and each reaction is catalyzed by a specific enzyme. Interestingly, metabolic pathways are similar in all organisms, from bacteria to humans. In eukaryotes (plants and animals) many of the metabolic pathways are compartmentalized, with certain reactions occurring in specific organelles. Basically, cells trap free energy released from the breakdown (metabolism) of glucose. This energy gets trapped in the ATP as it converts from ADP to ATP by the addition of phosphate. There are 3 main pathways for harvesting energy from glucose: Glycolysis - begins glucose metabolism in all cells to produce 2 molecules of pyruvate. Occurs outside of mitochondria, usually in cytoplasm. Cellular Respiration - uses oxygen from the environment and converts each pyruvate to three molecules of carbon dioxide while trapping the energy released in this process in ATP. There are 3 sub-pathways of cellular respiration - pyruvate oxidation, the citric acid (Krebs or Tricarboxylic Acid) cycle and the electron transport chain. Occurs in different sub-compartments of mitochondria. Fermentation - converts pyruvate into lactic acid or ethanol; does not need oxygen. It is not as efficient as cellular respiration; it occurs in the cytoplasm. In terms of how much ATP is produced, you can look in your basic texts and assess how many ATPs are used versus how many are produced for each aspect of metabolism Answer 2: ATP is created through a complex enzyme-driven process. There are a couple of ways this works in cells: -glycolysis, in which glucose is broken up into two subunits, called pyruvate, which creates two units of ATP per molecule of glucose. This happens in the cytoplasm, in both animal and plant cells. -respiration, in which pyruvate is combined with oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water, which creates a lot of ATP per unit of pyruvate (16 I think). Obviously, glycolysis has to happen first, in order to make the pyruvate. This happens in the mitochondrion, which likewise exists in both animals and plants. -light-dependent photosynthesis, in which electrons are cycled around photosynthetic pigments after being jostled around by mid-high-energy photons (light particles), which filter through an electron pump that makes ATP. This happens in chloroplasts, and as such only occurs in plants. Note: there is one more major (eukaryotic) ATP-generating reaction, called "fermentation", which takes pyruvate and turns it into carbon dioxide and ethyl alcohol. Neither animals nor plants can do this, but fungi can do it. There is also light-independent photosynthesis, which USES ATP and creates glucose from carbon dioxide and water, producing oxygen as a waste product. This is really an energy storage mechanism, so that the organism doing it can later burn the glucose through glycolysis and respiration. This also happens in chloroplasts, so plants can, and animals can't. Ref; Ology List of Sciences Thursday, February 8, 2018 (ATP) Adenosine Triphosphate. HomeHealth TipsThe Color Of The Urine Is An Indicator Of Health Problems! Learn What It Means And How To Fix It! THE COLOR OF THE URINE IS AN INDICATOR OF HEALTH PROBLEMS! LEARN WHAT IT MEANS AND HOW TO FIX IT! Health Tips Many people are not familiar with the signs that the body sends through the urine. The urine can actually show the early signs of many health disorders, so learning to recognize them is of crucial importance in order to keep and improve the health. We need to pay attention to the consistency, odor and color of the urine because it can be very helpful in determining some medical disorders. Urine is consisted of 95 % water and only 5 % potassium, urea, creatinine and many other elements which are by-products of all the processes conducted in the urinary system and the digestive system. The yellow color of the urine is due to the waste product known as urobilin, which is a result of the red blood cells breakdown. The meaning of the color of the urine Light yellow The light yellow color is the normal color of the urine and it`s the healthiest. This color indicates that the body is hydrated properly. Clear Clear urine is usually an indicator of overhydrated body. It can also indicate dissolved electrolytes in the body and also chemical misbalance. Medium yellow When the urine is medium yellow it means that the body is dehydrated. In this case you need to drink plenty of water. Fizzy When the urine is fizzy it`s usually an indicator of bladder infection caused by the breakdown of proteins in the body or high levels of mucus. Orange The orange color means that there are higher levels of bilirubin in the organism or it can be a sign of obstacles caused by gallstone in the bile duct. Also it can be a result of medicine for the urinary tract. Dark yellow Dark yellow color is an indicator of even higher levels of dehydration which can be serious. In other cases it could be and indicator of high levels of the B vitamin in the body. In this case you need to take plenty of fluids like tea or water.

Adrenal fatigue is result of excess, constant stress we all suffer from on a daily basis. If you not dealt with stress appropriately, wears out our adrenal glands and there’s nothing they can do to fight it off. 8 Signs That Your Anxiety, Sleep Problems, And Joint Pain Are Caused By Adrenal Fatigue Admin January 21, 2018 Because doctors still haven’t recognized it as a health disorder adrenal fatigue is not something your doctor will say you have, but it’s what happens when your adrenal glands struggle to cope with the excess stress of our busy, modern lives. It makes you feel burnt out, dull and overworked, but doctors only recognize it as a condition when it reaches the fourth stage called adrenal insufficiency. In case you suffer from adrenal fatigue you shouldn’t wait for it to reach the fourth stage and do something to prevent it from escalating. Adrenal fatigue is result of excess, constant stress we all suffer from on a daily basis. If you not dealt with stress appropriately, wears out our adrenal glands and there’s nothing they can do to fight it off. These are the 8 most common signs of adrenal fatigue and the best ways to combat them: Sleeping problems In order to finish off some obligations, work-related or personal, how many times have we sacrificed a good night sleep. Insufficient sleep disrupt your brain function and the function of a number of bodily organs, which leads to sleeping problems and insomnia. If you don’t get enough sleep your body gets stressed and this leads to other health problems, throwing your body off balance. For that reason it’s of utmost importance that you introduce a healthy sleeping pattern and follow it blindly in order to prevent adrenal fatigue and promote optimal health. You should go to bed and get up in the morning at set times and respect those routines regularly. You should go in bed by midnight, sleep in complete darkness and turn off any devices that emit blue light. In case you still can’t fall asleep try some relaxation methods, such as meditation, deep breathing and a warm bath with calming oils before you go to bed. Feeling utterly tired post-workout Everyone think that feeling tired after a workout session is normal but it’s completely the opposite, it should energize you and make you feel hyped. This can occur because your body is under physical stress and this will inevitably lead to adrenal gland straining and get you the opposite results.* In case this is an issue for you, consider switching to less demanding exercise, like yoga, stretching or walking. Achieve results without feeling exhausted at the end of the day. Hormonal imbalances Your thyroid gland at stage 2 of adrenal fatigue may start exhibiting the signs of hormonal imbalance leading you to develop hypothyroid symptoms like poor circulation, weight gain, dry skin and hair and fatigue. Hormonal imbalance occurs in case of excessive stress which strains your adrenal gland and the hormones precursor material gets redirected to cortisol production. When this excess stress gets long-term you might suffer menstrual cycle delays and more severe PMS symptoms. This stage is an uncomfortable condition that requires you to start following a more nutritious diet, drinking more water, cut back on caffeine, consume more adaptogenic herbs and sleep more. Anxiety and depression You must pay attention that adrenal fatigue may manifest through symptoms of depression and anxiety, as the stress overload affects the mind as well, not just the body. These hormones are involved in mood functions, mental states and cognitive abilities so their lack will lead to mental imbalances not just hormonal ones. In case you exhibit these symptoms learn to lean back a bit and devote more time to yourself. Increased salt cravings Adrenal fatigue can affect the aldosterone production and lowers it which leads to mineral deficiencies in your body which consequently lead to slat cravings in an effort for your body to compensate. Characteristics of mineral deficiency are low blood pressure, salt cravings, dizziness and heart palpitations. When you experience this symptom you need to increase your mineral intake by adding mineral-rich foods to your diet. Stiffness and soreness Other symptom of adrenal fatigue is feeling soreness and stiffness all over, most commonly in the neck, back and jaw. You should do some stretching exercises or yoga and improve your sleeping habits to improve this condition. Also you can benefit from warm baths with anti-inflammatory ingredients like magnesium, they’ll detox your body and soothe your stiff and sore body parts. Excessively relying on caffeine excessively You must know that coffee isn’t a source of energy, you’re borrowing that energy for a short period of time which will only make you feel worse later. In case you suffer from adrenal fatigue you probably know that the mornings can be especially difficult. Relying on coffee to get you through the day will only make matters worse, as this ingredient keeps your body stressed all the time by boosting the production of cortisol and epinephrine, the two stress hormones. You should try to drink more herbal teas instead, like mint, holy basil or dandelion root tea. Digestion issues In case you’re exposed to excess stress your body can’t focus on digestion and nutrient absorption, even though you’re eating healthy. When you have adrenal fatigue, your metabolism and digestion won’t function at optimal level and you may commonly suffer from bloating after eating. This lead to weight gain, indigestion, and diarrhea or constipation. Improve your digestion by increasing your water intake, start taking probiotics and mineral supplements and chew slowly. NUTRI-FACTS SponSsored · "Immune function is one of the most well-recognized benefits of vitamin C. Vitamin C is preferentially taken up by circulating immune cells, resulting in levels 20-60 times those of surrounding cells." Vitamin C in health promotion: Emerging research and implications for new intake recommendations - Nutri-Facts NUTRI-FACTS.ORG

Vitamin C in health promotion: Emerging research and implications for new intake recommendations Nate Matusheski, PhD January 22, 2018 Long before vitamin C was recognized as an essential nutrient, Dr. James Lind found that a component in citrus fruits could cure scurvy in British sailors, supporting England’s naval dominance and helping shape the world we live in today (1). Years later, a hexuronic acid (now known as ascorbic acid) was identified as “vitamin C” and its important role in the biochemical mechanism of collagen formation was elucidated (2,3). While this is the primary reason that vitamin C is considered an essential nutrient, recent research suggests that vitamin C may also be important for other chronic diseases. In addition, the levels of intake required for optimal health may be higher than currently recommended. Immune Function Immune function is one of the most well-recognized benefits of vitamin C. Vitamin C is preferentially taken up by circulating immune cells, resulting in levels 20-60 times those of surrounding cells (4). This may protect neutrophils from the reactive oxygen species that are used to kill pathogenic bacteria or viruses. Vitamin C also influences the movement of immune cells to sites of infection, and decreased vitamin C levels have been observed in individuals with infections (5). A recent Cochrane meta-analysis of clinical trials of vitamin C supplementation in humans concluded that supplementation of 200 mg or more of vitamin C reduced the duration of common cold symptoms in both adults and children (6). Non-Communicable Diseases Vitamin C is also associated with certain non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer and even Alzheimer’s disease. Population studies have reported associations between vitamin C and decreased cardiovascular risk (7). Several meta-analyses of clinical trials with vitamin C supplementation have reported improvements in endothelial function (8) and blood pressure (9). Vitamin C intake has also been associated with decreased incidence of certain cancers (10–12) and Alzheimer’s disease (13,14), although cause and effect relationships are unclear. Recently, there has been increased medical interest in the possible benefits of intravenous vitamin C to support quality of life in patients receiving chemotherapy (15). In light of this recent evidence, some experts have advocated for increasing the daily recommended intake to 200 mg or more per day (16), an amount that can be obtained by consuming 5 servings of fruits and vegetables. However, in many parts of the world, marginal or outright vitamin C deficiency is surprisingly common. Marginal deficiency or depletion in vitamin C (<28 µmol/L) has been reported in 34-46 percent of a low-income UK population (17), and suboptimal vitamin C status (<53 µmol/L) has been reported in 46 percent of the U.S. population (18). Clearly, vitamin C is important for more aspects of health beyond simply the prevention of scurvy. Many individuals don’t consume the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables, and many have vitamin C levels in the body that are below recommendations. Considering the possible benefits, there is an opportunity to advocate for increased consumption of foods high in vitamin C or supplements that can help individuals reach the levels of vitamin C in the body that are associated with optimal health.
