I noticed the papaya u used is green on the outside, but it looked ready to eat when u sliced it. Should I purchase and eat it when its green or should I wait for it to turn yellow? Reply View all 4 replies Nweisha Ng Nweisha Ng1 month ago They ripen real fast; if left out at room temperature and not refrigerated. The small ones ( like that sold in Hawaii ) are sweeter when ripe. You will know when it's ready because it will change from dark green to yellow/orange. They bruise easily and if there is a slight cut/break on the skin they even ripen faster. Keep it dry and away from moisture. When I let mine ripen on the kitchen counter, I let it sit on something soft like a towel. They bruise really easily. Read more Reply plush furr plush furr1 month ago thnku. Reply 1 View all 3 replies Chezzgurl 5432 Chezzgurl 54321 month ago Yeah I think if it's been heated in the oven then it's safe to use but if it's raw then the cyanide can harm you. Reply Show more
